National Children's home (modern) 2

Now Kingsley Green, Frodsham. In 1928 the home comprised of ten houses, each for 25 children, in charge of matron and assistant, laundry, central kitchen. Newton Hall was used as a hospital housing. There were 306 children in the home in 1928. The girls were prepared for nursing and domestic service, laundry work and the boys were taught farming and boot making.
