Roads

The motorcar has to be the area of greatest change over the last century. The street patterns have largely remained unchanged except for some alterations to the roads to accomodate additional parking. The current trees that line Main Street were planted in 1897 to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria and of course, you can still see the Jubilee clock on the Main Street crossing near, next to Church Street.
